Puppy II
This is a continuation class for Puppy I grads. Sometimes younger puppies repeat the first class before going on if they
need some additional work in the attention department. This class begins to teach the basic obedience cues that we teach in
the adult classes.
Lesson Plan Includes:
- Heel - the formal walking position beside the handler
- Automatic Sit - sits when handler stops
- Sit & Down Stay
- Coming when called with more distractions
- Stand
- Distraction proofing
- Recess! Proper socialization is the key to a well rounded dog and in this class we continue to offer brief free play time
so that all of the puppies have a chance to interact.
The first year of a puppy's life is the most important. The environment around the puppy is constantly giving him feedback
and he is learning how to interact in it. Without the proper guidance he can be learning things that will make him a nuisance
or cause him to not have the proper social skills when he matures.
